Cups is a game played with two eight-sided dice. Soldiers prefer the baked clay ones, but any eight-sided dice will do.
Each player antes into the game, placing the minimum bet in the center of the group. Typical bets are around one silver piece, although richer groups may play for gold.
After the ante, each player takes a turn throwing the dice- the highest roll (combination of the two numbers) wins, taking the pot.
In event of a tie (two players making the same score), each one puts another ante into the pot, and then takes another roll. This continues until one of the players is out of money, or either player wins.
