Bio:
  • Abandoned at a young age (8), had to fend for myself, endure harsh elements, and learn the rules of the wild.
  • Always had a yearning to be accepted by my own kind.
  • At the age of 16, already in the wild for 8 years, was ‘adopted’ by a Thieves’’ guild who could see my above average perception.
  • At the age of 21, was doing a routine ambush with the guild on a caravan of noblemen when a pack of wolves descended upon us. Every thing was set up perfect and I was the look out, the usual position but favored with my perception, and I noticed patches of shadows moving towards us. I first put it to the back of mind, keeping my thoughts on the scheduled caravan; this is what was to feed us for the next months. The patches rustled once more and closed in further. I averted my attention now watching the nearest patch. Paws shown through the patch and then fangs, I sent of the warning whistle, but it was to late. The wolves launched forward, tearing through the underbrush and all I could do was watch as my guildies where torn apart, I was stunned as I was loosing my family, as I was going to have to return to the rest of the starving guildies at home empty handed. Then I heard my doom behind me, a twig snapped and all I could think was ‘I’m next, but I’m not going down without a fight’. I turned and drew my short sword from it’s sheath on my back and stared at the creature before me. It looked like a wolf but something was different about it, something that I couldn’t put my finger on and I didn’t have the time to for it lunged at me. I held my ground and waited for the last moment. I swung my sword across hitting the creature in the throat and taking its fangs and claws into my own body. We landed, the creature on top of me, knocking the wind from my body. I layed there as the screams dwindled and could on think ‘ I killed one of them, but here come the rest’. I hear the movement of things coming closer and I thought ‘This is it’ but to my surprise I hear familiar voices. One shouts ‘I found Rain over here with something on him, we need to get it off’. My family pushes the beast off of me and helps me up, I notice there are only four others that survived out of the fifteen we brought. I was happy to live and that others had survived, but none could figure what attacked me, defiantly bigger than the rest of the wolves and didn’t move in with the rest of them, but our main concern was to make it back. We teamed up and managed to carry two of the wolves back for some form of food. After that I started to have nightmares of the event and the creature that attacked me, but it was almost in reverse. I saw how the creature lived and that it was indeed not with another pack of wolves. It was an outcast and had something different about it. The other guildies, my family, started noticing differences about me too. I became more agitated and aggressive to the others. Those that had looked up to me started to fear me and then one night it happened. I was just so frustrated, any time it looked like my family and me were going to get a brake something horrible happened, well this night we were attacked by another thieves’ guild looking to expand their territory. It was grosume and I again had to suffer and watch as my family fell around me. The adrenaline was to much and I transformed into the creature that I had killed not so long ago. It gave me the power to stop the opposing guild but I couldn’t stop it, I turned on some of my own and blacked out. When I came to I awoke tied to a tree with some of my family around me, they all had fear in their eyes and I realized this fear was from me. The leader spoke, “You turned on your own kind, on your family, and became a beast. We should kill you for this, but you have been to helpful to this family and we owe you much, so we have agreed to out cast you, and you are to never return to us while under this curse or we will have to take your life”. I couldn’t believe it; abandoned again by those I called family. I again returned to the wild, trying to gain some control of this curse, but all I want is to be rid it,
  • Four years later, I’ve heard rumors that a place called Neverwinter is experience some magical scars and I’m hoping there are creatures of Deep Speech near there that may be able to bend magic to their will and find a cure for this god forsaken curse, that I may finally be able to return to a family, my family.
